Public Distribution System

My perspective on Public Distribution System (PDS) or Fair Price Shops (FPS) in the model village:

A fully digitalized operation system in PDS would be benefited with mobile application which could bridge the communication gap between the officials and the consumers, For example, Changes in the products that will be on sale can be informed much earlier to the beneficiaries and they will thus enhance their knowledge about the products they are in need of. The consumers can be given information on the quantity and price details of the products they purchased.

However, records may also be maintained manually in addition to digitalized formats in case of technical errors (unexpected crashing in servers).
Emphasis could be given to increase in the number of FPS shops on the basis of the population rate of the village (i.e., for 200 families 1 FPS).

Employees of FPS shall be recruited from the same locality as they will have a better understanding about the village and to avoid consumer discrepancies.

With no doubts, Hygienic conditions prevailing in the shops and storehouse must be thoroughly checked in a daily routine to withhold the quality of the products.

The board which usually contains(primary data)  the various products available and its price will obviously be under public notice hence they can get the information on what is present in the FPS , if the needed items are not present then they own the right to file a complaint against the same  for which the actions must be taken in a due period of 1 week.

For example, A youth who notices reduction in some product quantity that is in requirement can take the initiative to  file a complaint to Taluk officials for which the necessary actions are taken in 1 week.
